Preceptors play a key role in the success of advanced practiced nursing (APN) students. UCBAAPT will expand the existing highly rated preceptor development program at the community-based sites to recruit, train, and mentor clinical preceptors to best support UCBAAPT Scholars.
Anti-discrimination training for preceptors will increase the opportunity for belonging of Scholars in clinical settings. Innovative opportunities for interprofessional precepting with Family Community Medicine residents and nurse practitioner fellows will be piloted to build a pathway of preceptors.
