UCBAAPT created a mentoring program for Scholars, based on an established and successful UCSF School of Nursing's Midwifery & Belonging Mentoring Program.  

UCBAAPT Mentorship program will match Scholars with mentors who are clinicians from the community, SON alumni, and/or SON Volunteer Clinical Professor (VCP), to support Scholars’ sense of belonging and build their resilience in practice. Mentors from diverse backgrounds will be recruited and mentees who would like a mentor will be matched to their mentors to create a supportive network. 

• The UCSF Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) has supported an existing mentor training for the CNM program and will be invited to plan implementation for UCBAAPT Mentoring program. 
• Mentoring resources will address topics such as microaggressions, imposter syndrome, and interprofessional care. 
• UCBAAPT mentors can be nominated for appointment as a SON VCP to increase the visibility of clinicians from the community and the UCSF SON Volunteer Faculty Network (VFN).
