Mission
The Underserved Coalition for Bay Area Advanced Practice Training (UCBAAPT) program’s mission is to improve healthcare and promote health equity for underserved populations and to provide education and clinical practice training for advanced practice nursing (APN) students from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Nursing.
Scholars
Selected UCBAAPT scholars are enrolled full-time APN students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds in their second year of CNM, FNP, or PNP-PC specialty programs, who are awarded tuition funds for one academic year.
Programs
Through the strong academic-clinical partnership with SF Bay Area Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and safety net organizations who serve low-income persons of color who face significant health disparities and barriers to care, UCBAAPT will expand on the didactic content and clinical pathways to help fill vacancies in community based clinical settings; connect UCSF APN graduates with FQHCs and community-based networks for employment opportunities with the annual APN Career Fair; and more!
